Elisabeth Davidson, a 1994 graduate of AECC, is Fellow and former DAA of the Royal College of Chiropractors Pregnancy & Paediatrics Faculty. Having moved to Denmark in 2021, after 26 years working in Scotland, she works part-time in Copenhagen and is involved in developing competency in the chiropractic paediatric community in Denmark. She is a member of the European Academy of Chiropractic Special Interest Group for Pediatrics, and a board member of reviewers of the Journal of Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics. She still teaches a few workshops in Denmark.
Mike Marinus qualified with an M.Tech in Chiropractic from University of Johannesburg, South Africa in 2005 and went on to become a founder member of the South African Paediatric Chiropractic Association. He has been a past exco member of the Gauteng Association of Infant Mental health serving from 2016 to 2018. He completed his Master’s degree in Paediatric Musculoskeletal Health in 2019 from Bournemouth University followed by a relocation to the UK in late 2020. He was inducted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors in May 2021 and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Royal College of Chiropractors Pregnancy and Paediatrics Faculty.
Mike developed part of the first Masters in Integrative Paediatrics programme offered in the United States and has been actively teaching on the program since 2022. In collaboration with experts in the field he has also been part of creating the Pregnancy and Paediatric Competencies for the Royal College of Chiropractors Pregnancy and Paediatrics Faculty and teaches on these in the United Kingdom. His ongoing lecture series in France now forms part of the French paediatric certification as well as the upcoming South African competency standard.
Mike hosts podcasts for parents and professionals alike including the Easy Baby Podcast and 2 Paed Chiros podcast featuring Mike alongside Australian Chiropractor and researcher Dr Christian Fludder DC. Mike is also the founder of The Pediatric Network, an online teaching platform for all professionals working with children. He has published scientific works regarding Plagiocephaly, manual therapy for excessively crying infants as well as chiropractic interventions in developmental delay.
Philippa is a Chiropractor and the founder of Alverstoke Chiropractic. When she’s not helping people feel better, she is busy being a mum to three amazing smallish children. She’s also a military wife and runs a Facebook support group for local families.
Philippa’s path was set at the age of 8 when she fell off a climbing frame, straight onto her back. Although she had seen other people, the woman that made all the difference was a Chiropractor.
Philippa decided then and there she would become a Chiropractor. She didn’t take a direct route, and became a Sports Therapist, eventually retraining and graduating at the age of 32. Initially her aim was to work with children, but when her first pregnancy ended up in breech, she decided that pregnancy care was the place to start.
