  • Understand the significance of social interaction and how to support your communities with this information.
  • Understand and identify postural asymmetry.
  • Understand the clinical impact of asymmetry on the developing nervous system.
  • Be able to explain the benefit of chiropractic care for the community.

Speaker – Dr Genevieve Keating

Dr Genevieve Keating has spent the last forty-five years wondering “how we are who we are”. She is passionately interested in developing brains and how we, as a profession, can have a guiding hand. Her study has earned her a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic (1988), a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (2004) and a PhD in Early Childhood Development and Infant Mental Health (2021). She is in full-time family practice and is an internationally recognised educator. She has designed and taught seminars for over 25 years. She teaches chiropractic paediatric seminars and a two-year Chiropractic Paediatric Diplomate program and is a keynote speaker at many interdisciplinary conferences. She is a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Chiropractic Education, a founding member of the College of Chiropractic Paediatrics and an Assistant Professor of the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies. She is a current board member of the Australian Chiropractors Association. Genevieve represented the Chiropractic profession on a government review of spinal manipulation for children under 12 years. She was awarded the Australian Chiropractor of the Year in 2019 and has published papers regarding chiropractic care for infants, children, and adolescents.  She is committed to engaging health practitioners and the community in understanding, assessing, and supporting neurodevelopment, ensuring that babies and children are given the best chance for healthy, happy lives. She is incredibly inspired by the babies, children, and families she works with.
