Orofacial & Cervical Pain: Clinical Anatomy and Rehabilitation Applications is a two-day CPD program offering rehabilitation professionals a rare and valuable opportunity to deepen their clinical competence in assessing and managing complex orofacial and neck pain conditions. Through direct engagement with cadaveric prosections, participants will gain a three-dimensional understanding of key anatomical structures—such as the trigeminocervical complex, cervical spinal nerves, and temporomandibular joints which are often poorly understood yet highly relevant to common clinical presentations like migraines, TMJ dysfunction, and cervicogenic pain. By integrating this anatomical insight with evidence-informed expert case discussions, the program bridges the gap between theory and practice, enabling attendees to refine their diagnostic accuracy and expand their treatment strategies with confidence. Attendance to this activity will enhance skills in managing complex musculoskeletal cases that can often be missed in conventional care, improving outcomes and efficiency in both interdisciplinary and private practice settings.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Identify and describe relevant orofacial and cervical anatomical structures in cadaveric prosections.
- Explain the neuroanatomical pathways involved in common orofacial and neck pain presentations.
- Apply anatomical knowledge to assess and treat conditions like trigeminal neuralgia, migraine, TMJ dysfunction, and myofascial pain.
- Formulate clinical hypotheses and intervention strategies integrating manual therapy, movement, and postural retraining.
