Course Description

For healthcare professionals-in particular-Sonographers, Chiros, Physios, Doctors.

This exciting CPD is designed for all registered health care professionals with interest in the evolving field of upper limb ultrasound including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Physics of ultrasound will be explored alongside professional issues and delegates will have the opportunity to undertake an anatomy refresher session in the pro section with expert Dr Solomon. In the afternoon delegates will have the opportunity to undertake practical ultrasound sessions on models in the Samsung suite exploring shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand scanning.

Seminar aim, objectives & learning outcomes:

  • Identify basic ultrasound physics and machine controls that can optimise images in upper limb ultrasound.
  • Enable participants to understand the requirements of upper limb ultrasound and identify basic anatomy/pathology that may be encountered.
  • Develop an appreciation of the role of upper limb ultrasound
