This 1 day seminar is aimed at MSK professionals with an interest in the imaging of the knee. The seminar will be delivered by Chiropractic Radiologists and a Medical Anatomist.
Anatomy of the knee will be detailed using plain film x-ray, MRI and ultrasound imaging, backed up by a practical session in the on-site pro-section lab.
The radiologists will cover the clinical indications for each imaging modality, normal imaging series and measurements, reporting terminology and indicators of pathology and trauma.
The day will consist of lecture presentations, pro-section lab and image reading sessions in the digital learning lab.

Seminar aims, objectives and ;earning Outcomes

  • Build a detailed understanding of anatomy and imaging of the knee
  • Acquire knowledge of appropriate imaging terminology
  • Develop an understanding of the relevance of imaging findings to symptoms and diseases in patients seeking care.
  • Acquire adequate knowledge necessary for appropriate imaging referral of knee pain patients

Having completed this seminar you will be able to:

  • Recognise normal anatomical appearance of the knee on x-ray and MRI
  • Use and understand imaging terminology in relation to knee pathology
  • Explain and integrate imaging findings to symptoms and diseases in knee patients
  • Make appropriate referrals for a range of pathologies and trauma in the knee
