A case-based presentation based on real incidents that did not go ‘according to plan’. In this workshop, we will review some misdiagnoses, cases of poor management and near misses.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Appropriately manage a patient whose left shoulder pain and neck pain is actually a heart attack.
  • Recognise when someone has cervical cord compression and avoid causing further injury.
  • More confidently assess which of your patients has an increased stroke risk,
  • How to incorporate these assessments into your usual clinical routine in order to increase the safety of your practice.

SPEAKER Andy Rowe FRCC

Andy Rowe graduated from AECC in 1986 and, after working as an associate around the country, settled in his home town of Abingdon in 1989, where he has been ever since. He recently trained as a sonographer and is probably the only UK chiropractor with a qualification in abdominal ultrasound.
