Course Description

Brain and Neuroplasticity.  Module 5:  The Peripheral Nervous System.

Barcelona – Saturday June 3, 2017 – 09:30-18:30 hs

This module will teach you in breadth and depth about the peripheral nerves.  What are the most common neuropathies?  We will explain how nerve entrapment is different from nerve irritation and the neurophysiological consequences.  We will review the neuroanatomy and most common entrapment sites. Examples are:  herniated discs, carpal tunnel syndrome, cauda equina syndrome, fibular head entrapment, etc.

A treatment can be more effective if addressed to the precise area of nerve irritation or entrapment. In the practical, we will teach specific muscle and joint release techniques,  stretching and other rehabilitative strategies.
