Royal College of Chiropractors CPD event – SPORTS TAPING WORKSHOP – INCLUDING PRACTICAL SESSIONS

EVENT OUTLINE

This event will focus on rigid joint protection taping techniques and athletic strapping for sport. It will cover all peripheral joint tape techniques, both for injury prevention and returning to play during rehabilitation. These techniques are ideal for rugby and other contact sports but also applicable to every day low back pain patients.

• Ankle stability—sock on gems!
• Rigid taping of each peripheral joint—practical session

SPEAKERS

Suzi Le Voi MRCC, LRCC (Sport) and Kay Pearce FRCC (Sport)

Suzi graduated from AECC in 2001 having previously worked in sports massage. She has been working pitchside in Rugby Union since 1996 and has been with Trojans rugby for 13 years. She is the Director of medical Services and lead Medic at Hampshire RFU. She works in private practice in Lee-on-Solent and has held the RFU level 3 pre hospital immediate care in sport qualification since 2010.

Kay has a special interest in treating sporting injuries and was selected as a ‘Gamesmaker’ for the 2012 Paralympic games as part of the medical services team. Kay was the team medic for Trowbridge Rugby Football Club from 2004—2017 where she was responsible for all pitchside, first-aid and both pre-and post-match treatments.
