Royal College of Chiropractors CPD event – RockTape Functional Movement Taping Level 1

EVENT OUTLINE

This 1 day workshop is a perfect introduction to kinesiology taping theory and concepts. FMT1 is suitable for both novice and experienced tapers, as it teaches a unique approach from the ground up covering the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to integrate effective taping into your existing practice.  This course will equip you with the skills and understanding to effectively apply RockTape to virtually any problem within the musculoskeletal system.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Following this course, you will:

• Understand proposed mechanisms behind the effects of kinesiology tape;
• Have a basic knowledge of the research in kinesiology taping;
• Learn and practise correct tape cutting and handling skills;
• Learn the concepts behind 4 main types of tape application;
• Practice application of the 4 main types of tape application.

SPEAKER – Daniel Lawrence – RockTape UK Education Director

Daniel gained his BSc in Physiotherapy from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2006 and subsequently went onto gain a post graduate diploma in orthopaedic medicine from Middlesex University and a PGCE from the University of Plymouth. He has lectured at Truro College since 2006 and joined RockTape as their Education Director in 2012 where he has organised over 100 taping seminars and developed their education programme.
