Course Description
EVENT OUTLINE
This one day course will be an introduction to sport-related trauma covering acute injury assessment in the sporting environment as well as in clinic. It will explore common causes for injury and likely diagnoses by anatomical location. It will touch on the benefits and pitfalls of rapid assessments as well as useful management techniques and strategies for common, serious, complex and non-serious injuries including acute spinal injury. It will also cover some more serious conditions that require an emergency response and give you confidence to manage these particular circumstances. By the end of the course you should feel comfortable assessing and managing acute injuries in a variety of environments.

SPEAKER
Daniel Moore MRCC
Daniel is a chiropractor in a private practice in the North East of England. Outside of clinic he has had the privilege of working as a member of the medical services team that deliver care to the GB Masters Athletics events in the UK. He is past military tutor within the Parachute Regiment and is currently a Level 4 FA Medic and FA Affiliate Medical Tutor delivering Emergency Aid courses for and on behalf of local FA’s. He has provided emergency medical cover for teams up to the level of FA Women’s Premier League with Newcastle United Women’s FC. This followed on from his longstanding interest in sport having cycled at national and international level growing up. Academically Daniel gained a distinction in his Masters of Chiropractic degree which he completed in South Wales in 2013. He completed his post graduate certificate in clinical diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound in 2014. Daniel enjoys presenting and always seeks to bring instantly useful information to clinicians that will allow them to be the best they can be in practice, better serving their patient base.
