 Event outline:

A course that will introduce you to an incredibly useful assessment protocol, which can be used regardless of your treatment technique.

• A brief introduction to the neurological theory behind manual muscle testing
• Description of  a model for understanding injury based on failure of our neuro-musculo-skeletal control
• A practical session on muscle testing that will enable delegates to use simple testing tools and immediately show their patients the effect of chiropractic treatment

Speaker: Ulrik Sandstrom FRCC, MRCC (Sports)

Ulrik Sandstrom is in his 8th season as 1st team chiropractor at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club. He has worked with a large range of elite athletes from UK Athletics, Chelsea FC, England Rugby, GB Basketball, GB Swimming. He was selected to work at the Polyclinic in the Stratford Athletes Village during the 2012 London Olympics as well as the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. He lectures nationally and internationally, runs regular courses in Functional Muscle Testing and Functional Taping and apart from his many sports and lecture commitments runs private practices in Sheffield and Mansfield

 Learning Outcomes include:

• An understanding of neurological theory behind manual muscle testing
• A comprehension of the benefits of Muscle Testing in your treatment of patients.
• An understanding of practical muscle testing techniques to use in clinical practice
