Event outline:

• Orthopaedic & neurological examination of the weight bearing child (1-5yrs)
• Forces used in the paediatric spine
• Growth & development – normal & abnormal
• Testing for delayed development including exercises for retained infantile reflexes
• Safe and gentle techniques for the toddler and young child, fascial release techniques, exercises, dietary & advice
• Introducing the Royal College of Chiropractors’ Paediatric Faculty’s 1-5yr Paediatric Case History Form
• Latest chiropractic research

Speaker: Elisabeth Davidson FRCC (Paeds) owns a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Aberdeenshire. She graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1994 with a BSc (chiropractic) and a post graduate diploma in chiropractic (DC) in 1995. She gained an MSc in Advanced Chiropractic Paediatric Practice in 2007 also from the AECC and she is a Fellow and former Secretary of the Royal College of Chiropractors’ Pregnancy & Paediatric Faculty. Originally from Denmark, she has lived in Britain since 1990. She teaches post-graduate seminars in chiropractic care of the pregnant pelvis, neonatal examination and growth & development of the toddler.

Learning Outcomes include:

• Examining orthopaedic conditions often seen in paediatric chiropractic practice.
• Learning practical techniques.
• Exploring stages of development in children.
