Course Description

 

Title

Genetic predictors of recovery and sub-grouping of low back pain patients – where are we and what is the future?

Learning aims

The purpose of the Researchers’ Day (RD) is to facilitate networking and academic discussions among researchers within the chiropractic profession and clinicians with a research interest. Specifically, to inspire to new insights about how genetics impact low back pain and subgroups of patients with back pain.

Content of the activity

A half-day seminar on genetics and sub-grouping of back pain patients. The morning session includes talks from key note speakers (n=2) and interactive discussions with the audience.

In the afternoon, we invite all to present ongoing work, new ideas, interesting projects or methodologies. PhD students and early carrier researchers are given priority. See the Call-for-PhDpresentations document for more information about how to submit abstracts.

Finally, we provide a general news bulletin and updates on the ECCRE projects.

Organised by

Researchers’ Day is hosted by the European Academy of Chiropractic (EAC) Special Interests Group (SIG) in Research. The EAC SIG in Research facilitates interaction and collaboration of European researchers with a background in chiropractic. Each year the EAC SIG in Research hosts the ‘Researcher’s Day’ in conjunction with the European Chiropractors’ Union Convention. The purpose of the Researchers’ Day is to provide an opportunity for researchers to interact, learn and formulate common strategies. The Researchers’ Day is sponsored by ECCRE.

Researchers’ Day is organized by the four members of the SIG Research (Erik Poulsen, Corrie Myburgh, Joachim Andersen, and Mette Jensen Stochkendahl (chair)).
