Course Description
Aging and wellness are two of the hottest topics in the healthcare world today. The “silver tsunami” is upon us and in this aging world, chiropractors need specialised training to better assess and care for older patients, with a focus on health promotion and prevention.
In this interactive weekend, we will examine health concerns related to aging, comprehensive assessment, nutrition, and chiropractic technique and management of older adult patients.
Seminar Goals: The chiropractor/attendee will
- Become familiar with normal age-related changes and evidence-based health promotion and prevention strategies for our aging patients
- Learn and practice several evidence-based assessments for our older adult patients
- Examine and practice chiropractic geriatric adjusting skills with the patient’s safety and comfort in mind
