Course Description

The FAKTR Rehab course offers an opportunity to learn a complete system for assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions effectively and efficiently in a hands-on, learn-by-doing classroom environment.

Discover a new approach to addressing musculoskeletal pain and injury that follows a proven framework through the full continuum of care. From assessment to discharge, learn how to combine manual therapy and various active modalities with exercise for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, adding a systematic approach to patient care.

With FAKTR, we take it a step further and introduce you to the BioMechanical approach to taping, utilizing Dynamic Tape’s highly elastic tape with strong recoil to continue reinforcing load management and movement modifications long after your patient leaves your office.

*CPD is available for Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Athletic Trainers.*

Learning Outcomes:

At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Assimilate literature presented in class regarding: pain science, tissue physiology, fascia, physical examination, treatment and outcomes assessment.
  • Explain the indications and contraindications for utilizing the FAKTR protocol to treat a variety of conditions and patient presentations from head-to-toe
  • Identify and utilize orthopedic, neurologic, movement assessment and other relevant examination procedures as an indication for the application of appropriate rehabilitative techniques.
  • Identify and interpret abnormal findings during a patient evaluation in order to properly apply the FAKTR Concepts
  • Apply the appropriate soft tissue therapy based upon patient presentation and phase of healing.
  • Design appropriate exercise protocols with and without soft tissue techniques to improve patient outcomes.
  • Apply the appropriate exercise protocols to improve patient function.
  • Assimilate, summarize and demonstrate the proper use of biomechanical tape as indicated by patient presentation.

We also include excerpts and references for all of the peer-reviewed research and published case studies that provide the scientific basis for the protocol along with a list of “recommended reading.”
