Course Description

This 12-hour, hands-on, introductory course has been designed to provide the background knowledge and pragmatic application of the core entrustable professional activities (EPAs) of a neurorehabilitation specialist.

By the end of the course, the delegate will have the ability to confidently and proficiently implement the provided clinical assessments and rehabilitation applications in their practice, and serve a broader patient population.

 

Hour 1: A quick review of neuroanatomy; how to assess the functional status of three essential neuro networks

Hour 2: Assessing the reticular formation

Hour 3: Hands on applications

Hour 4: Assessment of the Cerebellum

Hour 5: Hands on applications

Hours 6: Assessment of the Frontal Lobe

Hour 7: Hands on Assessment

Hour 8: An introduction to neuroplasticity and epigentitcs;

Hour 9: Targeting therapies for brain stimulation;

Hour 10: Altering muscle physiology to improve brain function

Hours 11-12: Chiropractic technique.
