Course Description
Learn hands-on skills for chiropractic evaluation and treatment of the breastfeeding-baby with Elisabeth Davidson Bsc(Chiro), DC, MSc(Paeds), FRCC (paeds).
The programme will cover history and physical examination, MSK issues in breastfeeding, treatment options including manual therapy, psychosocial considerations, and professional responsibilities.
Seminar Objectives:
To improve the skill of history taking and performing an appropriate physical examination of the breastfeeding-baby.
To recognise MSK issues in breastfeeding and generate differential diagnoses:
- For conditions which are within the chiropractic scope of practice, create a management plan, as well as implement safe and appropriate care.
- For conditions which are outside the chiropractic scope of practice and refer as appropriate.
To identify relevant safety and risk management procedures.
