Course Description

In this module we will systematically review the 12 cranial nerves.  These are responsible for regulating our vital functions such as blood pressure, heart rate, digestion, and energy levels.  The brain stem is divided in 3 functional areas and in each the anatomy and function will be discussed.  By analysis of these areas we can determine the integrity of the autonomic nervous system.  In the practical we will present an efficient way of analysis of brain stem function, thereby being able to tell when, where, to adjust and when and where not to adjust!  We will teach different ways to activate or inhibit the brain stem.  Re-evaluation of these simple tests can validate if the intended treatment outcome has been achieved.
