Course Description
Dr Carlo Rinaudo is a registered Chiropractor with post-graduate training in Functional Neuro-Rehabilitation (Functional Neurology). Dr Rinaudo is the clinic director of a multidisciplined clinic, focused on helping people with dizziness and balance related conditions. He is currently undertaking a PhD in Vestibular (balance) Therapy at University of New South Wales and Neuroscience Research Australia (www.NeuRA.edu.au), working alongside leading researchers and Neurologist in the field.
His training in Australia and overseas has led him to become a sought after practitioner when it comes to helping people suffering from concussions, whiplash, mild and acquired brain injuries, balance and vertigo disorders. He is a sought after lecturer and speaker at national and local events on these topics, as well as a previous sessional lecturer and tutor with Macquarie University. Carlo graduated from Sydney University with Honours in Medical Science prior to undertaking Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University.

Join me for a 1 day advanced neuro-rehab workshop where we will explore clinically relevant applications for the Chiropractor. This hands-on workshop will have an emphasis on easy-to-use assessment and treatments for the spine and brain. Integrate cognition, eye movements and sensorimotor ‘neuro-hacks’ into practice to get better patient outcomes. This class is suitable for practitioners of all levels and experience.

This course presents the management of cervical disorders within a neuro- musculoskeletal model with an emphasis on therapeutic exercise. An overview of the research into the nature of impairments in vestibular, movement and sensorimotor control that may occur with neck pain/injury will be provided which informs a therapeutic exercise approach. This course has a practical emphasis and will explore in detail, the assessment and management strategies for cervical neuromuscular, vestibular movement and sensorimotor dysfunction. The course also explores incorporation of other management techniques such as education, manual therapy with the exercise program in a multimodal approach to the management of cervical disorders.
