OH, TO HAVE BEEN FIRST IN THE QUEUE

Today should have seen the opening of ECU2020.  Instead, delegate fees are being reimbursed (two-thirds of delegates already refunded). Clinics are re-opening and practitioners are conducting new and wider risk assessments.

There are new challenges, including the possibility of self-isolation if a patient with no symptoms tests positive shortly after treatment.  Yet reports from re-opened clinics indicate a bounce in the return of patients, appointment books are filling up and it feels good to be back.

Some of the speakers from ECU2020 are recording shortened talks to be shown on GEN-C and elsewhere on ECU social media. So all has not been lost.  The profession in Europe is thirsty for CPD and eager for engagement in public health and private clinic.  We are on the road to a resilient resumption and recovery of service.
