Coronavirus message

As news breaks of ever more isolation to combat Coronavirus and Italy goes into lockdown our thoughts are with colleagues in the most affected areas and with their patients.  We are all facing difficulties, as member associations, as healthcare professionals and as individuals.  The ECU wishes our members and our members’ members to know that we feel a special bond of solidarity with members of the profession and their patients.

Responses to the crisis vary from country to country and the ECU urges all chiropractors and patients to stay in touch with, and follow, the advice of their national health authorities together with the guidance of the WHO, which is to be found at www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019

As responsible healthcare professionals, chiropractors share a special obligation to stay calm in the storm and, as the WHO urges, to beware of false news, to share the latest facts and avoid hyperbole; to show solidarity and calmness; to protect themselves and not to ignore the stories of those who have experienced the virus.
